Our lives are made of stories–some of them oral, some written, some silent, some visual. As a writer and storyteller I love a good story. Books were abundant in the Idaho home I grew up in. I began keeping a journal, of sorts, when I was twelve. During my ninth grade year, I wrote a poem about night that was awarded a first place blue ribbon in our school’s writing contest. That is a cherished memory.
I still often get lost in a good book and have some book ideas in progress. As an arts educator on the Utah Arts Council roster I have the pleasure of performing as a storyteller and working with elementary students and their teachers to employ story and drama as learning tools. My business, Dramatic Dimensions, LLC, was formed to create and offer arts-based curriculum to teachers–parents, school teachers, and community educators.
Recently I’ve had the chance to work on some documentary projects as a writer/producer–telling stories with film–a wonderful medium.
I presently live in Springville, UT, where I enjoy writing, storytelling, reading, music, the beauties of nature, good friends and neighbors. I’m actively involved serving in my ward as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
