4 April 2010, Easter Sunday dawned brightly with trees and lawn laden with snow. Although the temperature was not frigid, it was not the sunny Easter morning most people always hope for–at least in Utah. However, within hours most of the snow melted away.
How many times do we feel overwhelmed or burdened with a trial, often something we did not expect or desire. After a time of patient waiting, working, and praying for what seems to be an endless amount of time, we find a solution, or at least peace comes to our troubled soul.
In retrospect, the trial seems like only a moment in time. In the light of the solution or peace that has come to our heart, it is like the quick melting of a spring snow.
No matter the physical weather, the Light of Christ can fill our hearts. Messages of hope, love, and inspiration shared today at the 180th Annual General Conference of the LDS Church brightened the day and lifted my heart–and the hearts of millions around the world.
Today the Christian world celebrates the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ–the Light of the World. He lives, and because He lives, we will all be resurrected. What an amazing gift–so full of love.
The photos on this page were taken on this Easter Sunday. Morning snow is in the photos taken around 10 a.m. Bare branches show in the photos taken around 4 p.m. Quite a contrast–a natural illustration of how quickly circumstances may change.
